Meet Our Staff & Trainers
Andrew Dreibelbis
Andrew has been involved in youth sports in the community for more than 10 years. He has coached basketball, softball, and golf at the youth, middle school, high school, and collegiate levels. Andrew has been in charge of the Marshall County Junior Golf Tour since 2017 and established the Plymouth Softball Club in 2022, and serves on the board of several local sports organizations.
Joel Grindle
Joel is a lifelong community member and graduate of Plymouth HS. Plymouth won four sectionals and two regionals during his prep playing career. He was the leading scorer on the 1999 Plymouth team that went 18-6 and won a sectional title.
Ryan Gould
Katie Simmons
This Fall, Katie will be going into her 10th year of coaching volleyball. She will be taking the court this year as John Glenn’s Varsity Volleyball Coach.
Katie graduated from LaVille Jr Sr High School after playing all four years on the school‘s volleyball team. While commuting to college, she was the Assistant Coach for the Varsity team and in her final year of college, she took over as the Freshman team coach. During those years in college, Katie also played for the college’s travel volleyball team.
After graduating from college, she took over as the Head Coach at Lincoln Junior High in Plymouth. In her first year she served as the 7th Grade coach and then in the following four years she took over as the 8th grade head coach.
Katie has also coached for multiple club teams over the years, totaling six seasons in all. Katie’s end goal for all volleyball players is to find the love for the game and have the basic skills to be successful for their school's volleyball teams.
Meet Our Basketball Trainers
Dwayne Morton
Dwayne was a Parade All-American in High School before embarking on a decorated collegiate career at Louisville. He was drafted by the Golden State Warriors with the 45th overall pick in the 1994 NBA Draft. Dwayne played in the NBA for one season before spending several years playing overseas.
Joel Grindle
Joel has 20 years of High School Coaching experience, including 11 years as a Boys Varsity Head Coach. He also won an NCCAA National Championship at Bethel University as a player in 2000 and was named an NCCAA All-American in 2002, capping off his career as a 4-year starter for the Pilots.
Bill Murchie
Bill is currently the Head Coach of the Culver Girls Academy team. He previously served as an assistant coach on the boys basketball team that captured a state title in 2018. In addition to teaching and coaching at Culver, Bill also is a Skill Development Coach at John Lucas Enterprises.
Vernell Wilson
Vern has coached for several high school and junior high programs in the area and has recently become an assistant coach at Calumet College. Vern is still active on the court, participating in 3-on-3 competitions on a regular basis.
